"IF GHOSTS CAN THINK AND REMEMBER WHO THEY WERE, THEN THE PHYSICAL BRAIN IS NOT THE ONLY PLACE WHERE WE STORE OUR INNER SELVES."
It's been 15 years since LILLY took her own life, leaving her mother, HELEN, a broken woman. Today, Helen is a brilliant brain researcher trying to develop a way to tap directly into our most inner data storage device: the soul – hoping to treat patients whose brains have been destroyed by Alzheimer's disease. But in order to try her ideas, Helen needs to run a series of tests on real ghosts and try to understand the minds of those who, on the other side, keep existing beyond the physical brain. The problem is that Helen, who is a medium, hasn't contacted the dead in all these years, still affected by her own personal loss.
"THOSE YEARS OF TALKING TO THE DEAD ARE GONE. I AM NOT THAT PERSON ANYMORE."
The story takes Helen and her assistant RACHEL to an old palace where they find a group of benign ghosts who agree to help their research. The place is naturally shielded from electromagnetic signals, making it the perfect location for Helen to start the tests – undisturbed by unwanted entities. Things start to change when ELSA, a famous graphic artist specialized in demonic imagery, asks Helen for some mediunic training hoping to get rid of an entity who has been haunting her for many years – and recently became too violent. Helen reluctantly accepts it unaware of the entity's true goal. The benign entities inside the apartment offer Helen the design of a small 19th-century device that can help her establish contact with one's living soul. But already hidden in the apartment, the evil entity finds that old technology fascinating as it manages to discover Helen's secret – something that unites Helen and Hell together. Helen's journey will end in a BIZARRE and UNEXPECTED twist of fate that will blow the audience's mind.
